Gardeners Spring In Line For Plant Sale

Poor weather forced last weeks cancelation but nothing could hold back today's Master Gardener's Spring Plant Sale Extravaganza.

Shoppers lined up at 7 AM to get a chance at a variety of plants from Petunias to hanging baskets.

Organizers enjoyed the busy morning and plenty of items sold out quickly.

County Extension Agent Jamie Hancock said, "The Tomatoes were the best and then the hanging baskets for Mother's Day. The
Hostas always go immediately, but we have a lot of things that people are picking at. I see people planning each year and bringing people and sending them to get certain items, It is really a lot of fun.

All proceeds go toward educational programs and materials to teach and train the public.
