Funeral Services Set For Onaga Teen Killed In Hunting Accident

ONAGA, Kan. (WIBW) - Funeral services are set for an Onaga teenager killed in a weekend hunting accident.

Authorities confirmed Monday the victim was 15-year-old Mitchell "Gus" Hermreck.

The Pottawatomie County sheriff says he was accidentally shot by a friend while hunting Saturday morning in rural Havensville.

Hermreck was a freshman at Onaga high school.

A rosary and visitation will be held at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Onaga.

The funeral service is at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday.

The family has established a memorial fund in his name.
