Funeral, Memorial Fund Set Up For Slain Girl

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A little girl found murdered in a Topeka apartment Tuesday morning, will be laid to rest Friday afternoon.

Ahliyah Irvin, 8, was reported missing early Tuesday morning. Shortly after, her body was found in a nearby apartment in the 2400 Block of SE Bellview Ave.

Billy Davis, 28, was tracked down and arrested soon after the gruesome discovery Tuesday morning. He was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on charges of Aggravated Kidnapping, Rape and Felony First-Degree Murder. Police say they are searching for a second person of interest, but will not release any further details about the person just yet.

A car wash to benefit Ahliyah's family was set up for 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Burger King parking lot at 37th and S. Topeka Blvd.

Service information posted on the Penwell-Gabel website show visitation is planned for Thursday, March 15 from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. The funeral is planned for 2 p.m. Friday at the Parker-Price Chapel.
