Fundraiser Set For Family Who Escaped Their Burning Home

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A fundraiser is set for the whiting family who escaped their burning home by jumping out a second story window.

J.D. and Kasey Roles along with their four children, and two children who were staying with them, Adam and Abby Brey, all got out of the home at 128 East Whiting Street last Thursday.

The Roles' oldest son suffered a broken leg, and the home was destroyed.

A fundraiser will take place from 5:00 to 9:000 p.m., February 2, at the Whiting Community Center.

It will include a raffle, soup and potato bar, and live music. If you can donate to the event call Kristin at 873-3156.
