TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)__Choosing to dine out Saturday helped one local family recover from hardship.

35-year-old Anthony Webber suffered a brain stem stroke October 16, 2013 while he was at work, causing bleeding in his brain due to high blood pressure.

Webber has four children but no insurance. The family has started a fundraising event called Prayers For Anthony. They are selling bracelets, t-shirts and sweaters.

They rallied Saturday night from 5-9pm at Applebee's and held a Dine to Donate fundraising event where ten-percent of the bill went towards helping Webber.

"It's awesome. It's a blessing. It's something I didn't expect. We've got wonderful people going just crazy just to support my brother and its awesome. its a blessing." Shared sister Tina Kirtdol

The family says if you would like to donate, visit any Envista Credit Union and let them know you would like to to donate to the Medical Relief Fund for Anthony Webber.
