TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Free help is available for anyone who has yet to file their 2013 taxes.
Tax-Aide and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance will provide help with tax returns through April 15th.
People who need help should bring a photo identification of everyone in their family, everyone's social security cards, last year's W2 and any other tax forms you may have received last year.
Assistance is offered at the following locations and times:
-9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Docking State Office Building, 915 SW Harrison
-9 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays at Jayhawk Area Agency On Aging, 2910 SW Topeka Blvd.
-9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Community Action's Swygart Center, 621 SE Swygart
-9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays at National Guard Armory, 2722 SW Topeka Blvd.
-9 a.m.-3 p.m.-Tuesdays at East Topeka VITA, 708 SE Lime
-9 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursdays at Lowman Methodist Church, 15th and Gage
-9 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays at First Southern Baptist Church, 1912 SW Gage
Help is also available at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library at the following times:
-Saturdays from 1-4 p.m.
-Tuesdays 6-8:30 p.m.
-Thursdays 3-8:30 p.m.
Evening assistance is also available at IBEW LU 226 Building, 1620 NW Gage, from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. You can also get help at Central Park Community Center, 1534 SW Clay, from 6-8 p.m. on Thursdays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays.
