Four Year Old Back Home After Near Drowning

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Family members report good news Tuesday night about four-year-old Evan Barnhart, who nearly drowned in a small pond Monday.

Danielle Barnhart, Evan's mother, told 13 News Tuesday the family brought him home from the hospital Tuesday afternoon.

She says he has recovered and was smiling.

Evan fell into a small pond in the Clarion Lakes neighborhood.

He was pulled out and saved through CPR administered by his father, a military veteran with extensive CPR training.
