Fort Riley Soldier Dies In Afghanistan

TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)--A Fort Riley soldier has died in Afghanistan.

32-year-old staff sergeant Zachary Hargrove was found unresponsive in his living quarters yesterday.

Hargrove was a wheeled vehicle mechanic.

The Wichita native was on his first deployment to Afghanistan.

Hargrove joined the army in 1998 and has received a number of awards, including six army commendation medals and six army achievement medals.

The cause of death is under investigation.
