FORT RILEY, Kan. -- A senior Fort Riley leader will conduct a Listening Session at 10 a.m. April 18. The public is invited to attend.
Brigadier General Don MacWillie, the assistant division commander for support, will address the public during an open forum at the 1st Infantry Division Headquarters.
The Army, while simultaneously drawing down our end strength, must continue to redistribute and reshape in order to enhance readiness, increase agility and flexibility and meet the requirements of the Nation’s Defense Strategy – all in a fiscally constrained environment.
To ensure that all communities affected understand the process the Army will use to reach stationing decisions, the Army is conducting community listening sessions across the country. At these sessions, community leaders will be able to contribute their valuable input into the Army’s stationing process.
