TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A former Topeka physician has been placed on probation and banned from collecting federal health care benefit funds.
Diana Carver, 47, pleaded guilty to one count of health care fraud and one count of unlawfully prescribing controlled substances today.
After her license was suspended in July 2010, Carver continued seeing patients and submitting false claims to insurance companies, while using her father's name, who is also a physician.
Prosecutors say Carver also continued to issue prescriptions and authorize drug refills.
