TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Topeka Metro board approved its new president Monday.
Susan Duffy will be the next general manager of the Topeka Metropolitan Transit Authority.
Duffy was one of two finalists interviewed for the position. She currently works for the Kansas Legislature and was executive director of the Kansas Corporation Commission before that. Duffy has also held several volunteer leadership positions with the United Way of Greater Topeka.
Duffy says she's excited to shift gears into a new role. Duffy starts the job September 27th. She replaces Janlyn Nesbett-Tucker who left earlier this year under a separation agreement.
