Flood Waters Recede South Of Emporia, K-99 Reopens

EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) -- K-99 south of Emporia re-opened Wednesday morning for the first time since Saturday.

Despite more rainfall, the Kansas Department of Transportation says waters had receded enough by 7 a.m. Wednesday to open the highway to traffic again. It was closed Saturday, August 3 due to flood waters over the roadway from south Emporia to about three miles south of that.
