MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - It's been a whirlwind couple weeks for the Flint Hills Discovery Center.
Tuesday marked 16 days since the new attraction in Manhattan opened its doors. Already, director Bob Workman reports welcoming 7,000 visitors.
Workman says getting people in the door to enjoy the exhibits and learn about the Flint Hills was why staffers worked so hard to make the center a reality.
The 35,000 square foot Flint Hills Discovery Center features interactive exhibits and videos telling the story of the Flint Hills region. There is also a children's area and space for meetings and temporary exhibits.
Director Bob Workman talks about the first two weeks of operation in the attached video.
