TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The very first female Chief Warrant Officer 5 in the Kansas Army National Guard retired Wednesday.
Rosanna Morrow spent 36 years with the Kansas Army National Guard.
She is only the third individual to serve in the role.
Morrow enlisted in the Oklahoma National Guard as a private first class in 1975 and worked her way up the ranks since then.
Morrow received many awards throughout her service including the National Defense Service Medal and the Kansas Army National Guard Outstanding Warrant Officer of the Year in 2006.
