TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Shawnee County Commissioners approved hiring a firm to develop a long-range master plan for parks and recreation.
Commissioners voted Thursday to pay Pro's Consulting of Indianapolis $110,000 with half coming from the county's general fund and the other half from parks and recreation.

The plan is expected to take nine to eleven months to develop.
