TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Crews stopped a car fire from fully spreading to home just before 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

It happened at 4845 Wanamaker Rd. Crews say the owner drove home and parked their car before heading inside. The home owner noticed smoke coming from the parked car and called 9-11.

When crews arrived on scene the car was fully engulfed in flames and starting to spread to the home's attached garage.

Firefighters were able contain the fire before it could spread. No injuries were reported.
