JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Nearly 20 people were displaced Sunday night, the result of an apartment building that caught fire in Junction City.
Junction City Fire officials say it happened around 6:45 Saturday night (6/9), at 1430 N. Calhoun.
Officials say about a quarter of the 12-unit apartment building was well involved in flames. Crews got the fire under control within about half an hour.
The loss is estimated at $130,000. No one was injured in the blaze, but the fire did displace 19 people, who are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
