TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Fire Crews quickly knocked down a fire in Central Topeka before it consumed the entire home early Wednesday morning.
They were called to combat a house fire at 509 S.W. Buchanan at 2:05 a.m. Wednesday.
When crews arrived, they noticed heavy black smoke coming from the home. They were able to get the fire under control in about 10 to 15 minutes.
The homeowner was not home when the fire started. No injuries were reported.
Officials say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
