TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW-TV) -- Fire officials are looking into the possibility that a fire at a Topeka house may have been intentionally set.
A neighbor called fire crews to a house at 2435 block of Southeast Minnesota around 12:40 a.m. Monday morning.
Crews knocked down the flames quickly and had the fire under control about twenty minutes later. They say the house was abandoned at the time.
Fire Fighters told 13 News that a mattress that had been on fire was pulled out of the house. They believe someone got into the house through a hole in the wall where an air conditioner used to be.
The fire is still under investigation.
