TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Crews quickly put out a fire that damaged a pair of Topeka businesses.
Fire crews were called to the 1800 block of SE Madison around 1:30 pm Friday on reports of a car fire. Fire crews say the flames spread from the car to items inside the lower level the building, which houses Wilson's Painting. The fire then spread to the Brown's Tree Service offices on the upper level.
The fire was under control in about half an hour. A Brown's employee said they were busy cleaning up the damage and salvaging records Friday afternoon.
