TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Students at a Topeka Middle School were briefly evacuated from class Friday morning as crews investigated a fire alarm.

Two Topeka Fire crews were dispatched to Chase Middle School around 8:20 Friday morning after a fire alarm sounded. Firefighters searched the school and found no signs of smoke or fire.

Crews suggested that the alarm may have sounded because of faulty equipment, so a district electrician was called to the school for further investigation.

Students returned to class after fire crews gave the all clear.

Chase Middle School is located at 2250 NE State St, Topeka, KS 66616.
