Father Of 4-Year-Old Shooting Victim Will Stand Trial
CARBONDALE, Kan. (WIBW) -- The father of a four-year-old, accidentally shot when his five-year-old brother got his hands on a gun in the house, will stand trial.
Mack Pagel, 26, of Carbondale, will face an Osage County jury. He's charged with aggravated child endangerment.
It happened in December, when prosecutor Brandon Jones says Pagel allowed access to a loaded shotgun, without the safety enabled.
The same case against the mother, Brittany DePrato, 25, was dismissed for lack of evidence against her.
Pagel will be arraigned before Chief Judge Phillip Fromme on March 20.
