TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka man will serve probation in the death of his seven-month-old son.
A judge handed 31-year-old James Maloun a 32-month suspended sentence Friday and placed him on 24 months supervised probation.
Maloun pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and conspiracy to commit involuntary manslaughter in the 2007 death of his son. Prosecutors say Maloun shook the boy, causing a severe brain injury.
