TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A man who served his country received the ultimate "thank you" gift.
Washburn Tech students presented Nick Schmidt and his family with a "recycled ride" Friday. The school's "Recycled Ride" program has students in the automotive trades rebuilding vehicles to give to families in need.
Schmidt served in the military. He and his wife have 4 children.
