TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) -- The overlay on four bridges on I-470 spanning Shunganunga Creek and 37th Street will begin Friday, September 6 at 6:30 p.m. and finish Monday morning.
The project will remain on that schedule for the next few weekends.
Northbound and suthbound right lanes will be reduced to one lane, and the Kansas Department of Transportation reminds motorists to expect delays, and maybe to look for another route.
The 29th Street to westbound I-470 entrance ramp will be closed.
Additionally, the northbound U.S. 75 to westbound I-470 ramp will close. That traffic will detour west on southwest 42nd to southwest Burlingame then back north to westbound I-470.
