TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A local school district continues to see an expansion project take shape.
Seaman USD 345 board members and administrators celebrated the start of construction at West Indianola Elementary with a groundbreaking.
The project will add nine classrooms, a gymnasium and a secure entrance and will renovate seven existing classrooms, including the library.
The addition is part of the district's $57 million bond referendum in 2013.
It also will fund a new middle school and additions to several other elementary schools.
