TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Another of the nine people charged in the shooting death of Natalie Gibson two years ago learned his fate Wednesday.
The Shawnee Co. District Attorney's Office tells 13 News Duane Richey pleaded to counts including aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and conspiracy.
Richey was a juvenile when Gibson was killed in July 2011 during what prosecutors have described as a hold up gone wrong. As part of an agreement with prosecutors, Richey will serve his time in a juvenile detention facility until he is 22 and a half years of age. He'll then spend another six months under supervision.
Michael Wilkins is the last of the nine defendants to either stand trial or plead. He will be back in court November 18th.
