TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Residents wishing to learn more about autism attended a community forum Thursday night.
The Topeka Autism Support Group and Easter Seals Capper Foundation hosted the event.
Family members, medical professionals, teachers, and childcare providers were encouraged to attend to discuss current autism treatments and expectations.
Dr. Patricia Wright was Thursday's speaker. She said early intervention and support is important to dealing with autism.
