TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- It was just more than a week ago, when an armed assailant held up the Mo's Express Phillip's 66 gas station in southeast Topeka. You saw the shocking surveillance video, only on 13 News. Now one of the two workers who was shot in the robbery is speaking out in another 13 News exclusive.

We caught up with Corvette Vice, 32, at her physical therapy session Monday, where she's re-learning how to use her arm. She says her life hasn't been the same since a week ago Saturday.

"He just instantly walked in the door with the gun pointed at Kenny," Vice said the scene looked like one from a movie.

She and Kenny Ray, Jr., 30, unloaded their registers. Kenny handed over his wallet, watch and wedding ring; Corvette gave up her cell phone. Then the two, careful not to upset him, got on the ground.

"Me and Kenny were both looking at each other, and that's when we heard the gunshots," Vice said.

One shot, then another -- the blasts, like balls of fire in Corvette's chest.

"I remember play dead so he'll stop shooting you, and I did and he stopped shooting me and went to Kenny."

The robber unloaded four more shots into Kenny.

Corvette says the way she was lying saved her life, that and the fact that the shooter had a terrible shot, she said. Now her memory will far outlast the injury.

"Emotionally it's real hard. I'm scared of people and I never was before... I hope he gets what he deserves. Karma ten folds. I hope somebody gets him, and if it's not the police, somebody needs to get him," Vice said.

Topeka Police still haven't found the shooter. Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at (785) 234-0007.

Kenny was released from the hospital Thanksgiving day.
