TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The search for Emporia State University's next president is now in its final stages.

KVOE Radio is reporting that the ESU Presidential search committee will make its recommendations to the Board of Regents the week of December 5.

After that, it's the regents' turn to decide and then make the formal announcement. The four finalists have all visited Emporia over the last month.

They are Michael Shonrock of Texas Tech, Todd Diacon of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.. Karla Hughes of Morehead State and Kathy Cruz-Uribe of Cal State-Monterey Bay.

The University is replacing doctor Mike Lane, who announced his resignation this past summer.
