TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka Police surrounded a Highland Park home for several hours Thursday night after someone reported drug activity.
At 6:54 p.m., officers were called to 2523 SE Wisconsin. Police Dispatch tells 13 News drug items were found outside the home. Dispatch also said officers were still awaiting a search warrant at 12:54 a.m., but had remained at the house.
A 13 News photographer drove by the home at 1:20 a.m. and did not see police presence in the area. Dispatch later said they weren't sure what time police completely cleared the scene because so many officers responded.
Police said Friday morning that Amy Taliaferro, 44, was booked into DOC for cultivating marijuana, drug tax violation, and possession drug paraphernalia.
