Drug Distribution Operation Shut Down Near Holton School

Released Friday by Sheriff Tim Morse:

Randy Lee Hyatt Jr. 22 of Holton was arrested late last night following a joint investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Holton Police Department.

Hyatt was arrested in the 800 block of Wisconsin Street in Holton where he allegedly was involved in a drug transfer. Deputies and Police arrested Hyatt on the scene.

Subsequently, a search warrant was served this morning at Hyatt’s apartment at 810 Wisconsin Street in Holton. Items believed to be methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were seized.

Hyatt was booked into the Jackson County Jail for the following charges: Distribution of methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school, using a communication device in the commission of a felony drug crime, conspiracy to use a communication device in the commission of a felony drug crime, possession of methamphetamine, paraphernalia to distribute within 1000 feet of a school, felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond is currently pending at this time.
