Driver Injured After Hitting Median On I-70

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- An injury accident backed up traffic on Eastbound I-70 for awhile Friday morning.

Shawnee County Dispatch told 13 news that a car hit the median between the MacVicar and Gage exits around 6:20 a.m.

They said the driver of the car was the only person injured. The severity of the injury was not known as of Friday morning.

The Kansas Highway Patrol also assisted with the accident. They told 13 news that traffic was backed up for about thirty minutes. They say the vehicle was towed away and normal traffic was restored before 7 a.m. Friday.
