Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) - A driver flipped his car and was ejected after an early morning car chase.
At around 1:35 Saturday morning, a Topeka Police Officer attempted to stop a Chevy Malibu for traffic violations at 21st and Pembroke. The driver failed to yield for several blocks and initiated a pursuit.
He fled northbound after turning on to Randolph from 21st street.
The suspect lost control and flipped his car in the 1700 block of Randolph.
He was the only occupant and was transported to a local hospital by AMR with serious injuries.
In addition to a state wide arrest warrant located for the driver he is also being charged with DUI and Fleeing/Eluding.
Accident reconstruction continues investigating.
