Downtown Lawrence Expects Traffic Delays Over Kansas River Bridge
LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Kansas Department of Transportation is warning drivers there will be varying lane closures over the Kansas River Bridge in downtown Tuesday, July 3 through Friday, July 6.
KDOT reports north and southbound US-40/US-59 will have varying lane closures daily between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for expansion join work.
Scheduled lane closures
Tuesday, July 3: Northbound left lane over bridge
Wednesday, July 4: No work/ no closures
Thursday, July 5: Southbound left lane over bridge
Friday, July 6: Southbound right lane over bridge
Drivers should allow extra time during their daily commutes or use alternate routes. Updated traffic information for this project can be viewed online at www.ksdot.org/topekametro/laneclose.asp.
