TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)__ Making over a local park was the focus of another community event Saturday.
Friends Of Dornwood park and Youth Volunteer Corp of Topeka came together Saturday morning to help pick up trash throughout the park and to paint bluebird houses.
About 25 students shared their time, part of a bi-monthy Dornwood Park clean up effort.
The clean up event marks the Youth Volunteer Corps' 25th anniversary.
