TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Coordinators and artists hope the sun shines on this weekend's Mulvane Mountain Plains Art Fair.

Volunteers and participants were busy setting up tents and artwork Friday on the Washburn campus.

This is the 21st year for the event. Artists from all over the country will show off a variety of sculptures, iron work, ceramics, paintings and more. Many of them have been returned every year, citing the great crowds which attend. Some 10,000 people are expected.

The event also includes activities for children.

The show is 10 am to 5 pm Saturday and 10 am to 4 pm Sunday. Admission is $6, with children 12 and under admitted free.

Proceeds benefit the Mulvane Art Museum's education programs.
