Domestic Violence Group Can No Longer Support Its Kansas Cause

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) According to the Topeka Capital-Journal, after 13 years the coalition has decided to drop its bid to renew a 1.7 million dollar contract that expires June 30th.

The decision has led the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) to develop a new system that funnels money directly to domestic violence centers.

The SRS hopes to increase their annual grants by $600,000 for community domestic violence centers.

The new program will begin july first
