TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A curious canine facing medical issues is missing.
Rick and Jeanie Daubenspeck say their dog, Baxter, spotted a fox Saturday morning outside their home near SE 29th and Croco Road and took off. By the time they rounded corner, both animals were gone.
The Daubenspecks say they are especially concerned because Baxter is being treated for a fast-metastasizing melanoma.
Baxter is a male Silky Terrier, with one floppy ear. He is large for his breed at 17 pounds. The couple says he is very friendly.
Anyone who sees Baxter or knows where he might be may contact the Daubenspecks at 785-633-2709.
