Dog Show Teaches Kids The Importance Of Teamwork

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-Our 4-legged friends took center stage Saturday afternoon.

The Shawnee County 4-H council hosted a dog show at Kansas Expocentre Agriculture Hall.

Young people ages 7-19 from across Kansas attended to show off their pets' talents. The events for the dogs were separated into categories which were agility, obedience, rally obedience, and showmanship.

Organizers say this teaches the young ones how to work as a team with their dogs and it also teaches responsibility, decision making, communication skills and leadership.
