Deputies Cleanup Two Accidents In One Intersection In Less Than An Hour

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Shawnee County Authorities said that both accidents happened at the intersection of N.E. 39th street and K-4 highway. They said the first happened around 9:30 p.m. when 19 year-old Jordan Kramer of Winchester collided with 17 year-old Kelsey Havercamp of Topeka.

Authorities said Havercamp was traveling Westbound on 39th when she failed to yield to Westbound traffic on K-4.
Authorities said the only injury reported was the passenger in Havercamp's car, 16 year-old Jessica Hubach of Topeka. They said she was taken to Stormont-Vail with non-life threatening injuries.
both Havercamp and Kramer were wearing seat belts.

Sheriff Deputies said they just cleared the scene when the second accident happened around 10:30 Monday night.
They said a pick-up truck driven by 50 year-old Raymond Bevitt of Meriden collided with 49 year-old Kimbra Henry of Topeka.
Authorities said Henry failed to yield to traffic on K-4 when the collision occurred.
Both Henry and Bevitt were treated at the scene for minor injuries and released. Neither were carrying passengers in their cars and both were wearing their seat belts.
