Defendant In Natalie Gibson Murder Case Convicted In Seperate Case

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A defendant in the Natalie Gibson murder case has been convicted of aggravated robbery in a separate case.

Michael Wilkins, 23, was found guilty of stealing a wallet and cell phone from a man last June.

Prosecutors say Wilkins threatened bodily harm and was armed with a handgun during the robbery.

Sentencing is set for February 1.

Wilkins' trial on charges related to the Gibson murder is set for April 2.
