(KAKE) - A Wichita man shocked by thousands of volts of electricity from a Westar Energy power line last year is now suing the company.
Don Hollimon filed the civil lawsuit in Sedgwick County District Court last week. Hollimon worked for Cox communications and was shocked when he climbed a Westar pole to service a Cox line.
In the lawsuit, Hollimon claims he suffered mental anguish, loss of time, medical expenses and permanent disfigurement among others. He is suing for $75,000.
A civil discovery hearing is scheduled for August 30th.
