TOPEKA -- Court dates were set Thursday for three charged with murder in the Topeka West parking lot shootings October 23rd. 19-year old Austin Tabor has a preliminary hearing set for January 21st. 21-year old Coty Newman returns to court for his first appearance next Tuesday. He is still searching for someone to represent him.
And the third suspect, 20-year old Samantha Hochard will have an appearance November 18th. They're each facing counts of first degree murder, attempted 2nd degree murder, battery and trying to sell marijuana near a school zone.
20-year old Matthew Mitchell of Topeka was killed in the shooting the week before Halloween. 17-year old Treshawn Wynne was wounded in the attack. Police call it drug related, with Newman and Tabor still held on $1 million bond each. Hochard is jailed on $500,000 bond.
