County Commission Will Pay More For This Years Audits

TOPEKAN, Kan. (WIBW)-- The Shawnee County Commission will likely pay more for this years audits.

In a 2 to 1 vote Thursday, Commissioners approved staff's recommendations to spend more than $125,000 on audits this year.

It's the highest cost the county has paid for audits in at least four years.

County Commissioners approved recommendations by staff to contract with Cochran, Head, Vick, and company to conduct both the county's and health agency's audits.

The one-year deal is 25 percent cheaper than the staff's initial recommendations.
