TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - City of Topeka employees with single health care coverage will now pay a portion of the cost.
During a short meeting Tuesday night, Topeka City Council members approved a two-year agreement with its labor unions on group health care benefits.
The city's 2013 budgeted contribution will remain the same and all employees will contribute to the cost. Previously, single coverage was at no cost.
Tuesday's meeting lasted less than an hour.
