TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Topeka's Corefirst Bank and Trust has a new President and Chief Executive Officer.
Kurt Kuta will be taking over as President and CEO of the bank from Duane Fager. Corefirst has been recruiting a President and Ceo after Fager stepped down from the position.
Fager remains Chairman of the Board of Corefirst. The bank showed a $23 million loss in 2012, which Fager says was a planned loss in order to get bad loans off the banks books.
When kuta assumes command, it will be the first time a non-fager family member will oversee day to day operations of corefirst.
