TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- An evangelical minister who emphasizes the Christian roots of the United States will be the featured speaker at the 52nd annual Kansas Prayer Breakfast.

David Barton will speak at the gathering on March 27 at the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center.

He is the founder of the Texas-based WallBuilders organization, an Evangelical christian group that supports a biblical view of U.S. history.

Barton plans to speak on the history of prayer as practiced by early U.S. leaders.

His book, "The Jefferson Lies," challenges the belief that President Jefferson promoted the separation of church and state.
