TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The first of five conductor candidates led the Topeka Symphony Orchestra this evening at White Concert Hall.
Diane Wittry conducted the opening program of the Topeka Symphony Orchestra's 67th season, with soloist Benny Kim on the violin.
It ha's been 23 years since the Symphony Orchestra has had a new music director and conductor.
John Strickler resigned last season to pursue other opportunities.
The five candidates were selected from among 125 applicants and will be leading public auditions throughout this season.
