TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Those who help the media get information to the public headed to class Wednesday.

The Kansas Adjutant General's office hosted a day-long training session for public information officers. Representatives of school districts, hospitals, state agencies and more took part.

13's Melissa Brunner was among those taking part in a panel of media members who answered questions about the news-gathering process.

The Adjutant General's office arranges the sessions each year to assist public organizations in better communicating with the public.
